We just put in a new timer and the dryer cycle still doesn't turn off. Is there a way to test the new timer? Is there any other related part that can be affecting the timer?

Not sure about ALL cycles................I will try that. What would it suggest if not all cycles? or if ALL cycles?

If it happens only in one or more cycles, but operates in at least one cycle, that would point to a bad timer.

I tried all the different cycles............none of them work AND it is a brand new timer. Any other ideas?

What do you have to do to get it to stop?

To stop it, I turn it to the off position....................or open the door.

In other words the dial does not turn unless manually moved.

Either you have a bad timer, or the dial is blocked in some way.
