I have a 24" kenmore (Frigidaire?) electric ceramic top stove. While using the oven, the oven door locked and now won't open. Turned off breaker but no help. Now when I push the clean or bake or broil buttons, display reads "off" but no error messages- just"off" any advice?

Did you have the oven in self clean?

Stove was on but not self-cleaning. We may have hit the "clean" button by mistake.

Doing some troubleshooting would be the only
way to know for sure, there are various possibilities.

According to the parts diagram,
The door is locked by a rod that goes from the
front to the back of the range which is hooked
to a motor that turns it to the lock position.
Here are some possibilities.
Check the wire connections that go to the
clock and the door latch motor.

The rod could have broken loose from the motor
itself and is stuck in the lock position.

Another is that the motor went bad after going
into lock position and it wouldn’t be able to
come out of the clean position because the
motor isn’t working.

Another thing to check it
to see if voltage is actually being sent to the
latch motor when switching from the off
position to the clean cycle and vice versa.
One posible cause could be the clock itself.
