The new compressor for my Ice Machine came with a new drier. It is sealed on both ends. What is the proper way to open the ends of the drier to install the capillary tube and the condensor tube?

Well, here is what I did. Used a tubing cutter to cut both ends off the new drier and then welded it in within 15 minutes to avoid too much moisture contamination. FYI, you should remove the rubber plugs in the new compressor in this order...pressure, suction, and service. If the plug will not pull out, heat it just a LITTLE with a butane torch. Replacing a compressor and evaporator assembly in an ice machine is pretty easy.
