I found some other sources online, with people having a very similar problem, and some responses advised changing the impeller. Could that be the culprit of my leak and could I do that repair myself?

I took apart the plastic housing that holds the impeller. I wanted to see what it would take to disassemble it before I ordered the replacement. I've got it almost completely apart. The one thing i can't seem to get off is the seal. Should it just pull off? Or does it unscrew? I don't want to break anything. Also, with the replacement parts, there is what almost looks like a mini blender blade. I don't have that on my current machine. What is it? http://www.appliancepartspros.c...9IRUcvc290b2hwdHJhcC8%3d

I got the seal out. I found some random instructions. http://www.applianceaid.com/WD19X10032.htmlI'm going to order my replacement parts in the morning. I'm wondering, is it common for a seal to go bad and cause a leak like the one I've described?
