Does not fill up with enough water. Replaced with new water valve but did not
solve problem. Water shuts off before rising up enough to move float as before. When I manually move the float lever underneath it does shut the water off. Both the float lever and the float inside the tub move very smoothly with no resistance. The water just never fills up to the proper level to work correctly.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.I did do the auto function test. It did not fill to the correct level or note that anything was wrong. Was I supposed to do anything other than push the sequence of buttons. I tried normal cycle afterwards and it did the same thing again of inadequate water level. I am missing something here and do not know what. Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you need to replace the control board. Part number: AP403806
Part number: AP403806
. Given the age of the machine, though, You may do better to replace the machine.
