Gene,
To make things even more confusing, with the ribbon secured in the board, I now get the F2- E6 error and the panel keys are not responsive. Based on this, per you initial suggestions, I should replace the board?
Thanks,
jg

We got back to the very first your post and I believe the first failure suspect is the control panel, not the control board.

Gene,
Ok I will replace the control panel.
BTW is there a part only for the ribbon from the control panel?
Also, can you please send me your address to jrg07@yahoo.com I'd like to send my appreciation to your comments.
Thanks,
jg

JG,

The ribbon is a part of the control panel and does not come separate.

Thank you very much! Your words is the best appreciation!

Gene,
Good call, just installed the panel all works fine now. I think it was the ribbon
that was damaged due to the curve/hump from the panel to the board causing it to become brittle over time and connecting wires shorted/frayed. Thanks again,
jg

Gene,
Another problem. Seem all was ok for 1-2 days. Now I get a long beep and no display. I can turn on/off the light via the panel. Could this be the board now? Your thoughts?
Thanks,
jg

Did only the light button respond?

Try to turn off the breakers for a minute.

Looks like the control board died now.

- The part number for the control board is AP3595759
