Thanks, jg We got back to the very first your post and I believe the first failure suspect is the control panel, not the control board. Gene.

I think it was the ribbon that was damaged due to the curve/hump from the panel to the board causing it to become brittle over time and connecting wires shorted/frayed. Thanks again, jg
