the fuse in my LG refrigerator burned out and i have had the hardest time tracking down a new fuse. The fuse is soldered to the circuit board and rather than pay $180 for a new circuit board with the fuse... i figured i would simply desolder the old fuse and solder in a replacement. Problem is... i can't find it anywhere. It lists (250V/9A, 125V/15A)... which i take as meaning i could use either one. I have been mostly looking for a 15Amp 125 Volt fuse but can't seem to track it down... plus i don't know the difference between a fast acting fuse, a slow burn fuse, a ceramic fuse, etc. Also if i install a 15A 250V ceramic fuse... will that work just was well?

that is a good point... I thought about that and the possibility of the fuse blowing out again if there is another underlying problem. Unfortunately, I don't quite know how to go about figuring out if there is another issue that caused the fuse to burn out.

any suggestions?

I found an economical repair for the blown fuse problem that seems to be quite common on LG brands and GE brands. Please contact me if interested.
