I have a Kenmore Oven which displays an F1 code with a loud beeping. I can turn it off only by triping the circuit breaker. Then when putting the power back on I can set it to bake before the code cames back on. Once in the bake mode it is OK and will bake fine. Once the baking is done the Code F1 and beeping will come back.
The manual says with an F1 code to replace the Electronic Range Control/ Clock. It is part # WB2K5091 to Model # 911 4742992. Upon trying to buy the part everyone says that the part is discontinued and there is not replacement. Since the oven works fine, when you defeat the code by turning off the power, is there a way to defeat the code permently so I do not have to trip the circuit breaker and leave it off until I want to use the Oven? I do not want to have to buy a new oven just because the part is unavailable.

WB2K5091 is a clock spacer, not the clock itself. I was suspicious when I seen that price is only about 10 dollars, which is far too cheap to be a clock. There’s a chance that the part number is on the back of the clock itself but I cant guarantee it.

It is WB27K5091 not WB2K5091. I've checked with many parts places on and off line and they all say the part is not available. But, for your information I found a place at stove clock repair WB19X5231 which will repair analog clocks for $90 and fix digital clocks (Electronic Range Control, ERC's) for $130. So, for $130 bucks they will fix what you have and the $130 covers the shipping back to you. The Part new is/was $240 to $280. So, it is quite a deal.
