Dishwasher began making a "loud" humming during wash and rinse cycles. Noise reminds me of the old Testers .049 model airplane engines of years ago. Removed unit from under counter (whoever said a normal man can reach under it and work, must be on drugs), field-stripped the dishwasher cleaning and examining all parts. All are as if new! I inspected the motor / impeller. Impeller turned easily, but would not make more than 1 revolution spinning with finger. Listened for bearing or armature noice, all was smooth and quiet, no abnormal shaft thrust noted. Reinstalled and was greeted once again with same familiar humming noise!

I have this model also, and was having the same problem. I inspected mine and reinstalled with the same results as yourself. Shortly thereafter the motor died completely. Have you experienced the drying problem also? Read the following post, this applies to my lemon also: I understood your letter perfectly... - Product Defect / Poor Service | PlanetFeedback

I guess its time to remove the unit once again and have the pump tested. Best Regards

I had same issue. The cellenoid switch, which according to the repairman is supposed to fire one time to open the dishwashing liquid container was firing non stop. Of course now my dishwasher just died in the middle of aload no warning. It wont respond to anything i do.
