Lift up the washer from the front and check the belt. Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag washer Model PAVT920AWWGene.

Can you please go step by step how to replace the belt. It was very loose and I need a new one. Thanks again

Place the belt onto the motor pulley and the pump pulley. Loop the belt over the transmission pulley and rotate it into position. - The part number for the belt is AP248258 Gene.
