Came home to a flooded kitchen. After removing all visible debris, we ran the dishwasher. There is standing water that will not drain. We are attempting to clear it but we are running into problems.
We have removed the rotating arm, and then the cap with 8 screws. We can see what appears to be a screen, and we assume the hose/drain is underneath, but we can't remove the next layer. There is a black rotating disc with a small nut that we can't seem to reach. Suggestions?

I could not finds any tech info on this unit.

Perhaps this will help

Here is a parts breakdown for a unit which uses the same type of pump.
It should be close to yours

Sounds like you may have more than one problem.
If the unit overfilled then the float/overfill switch did not work.
It should have killed power to the fill valve once an overfill happened, preventing a flood.
Or
Could be the fill valve is not closing correctly.

Hopefully someone will jump in with more info on pump dis-assembly.

Stina,

Were you able to remove the black rotating disk and screw? I've tried but it's stuck. Tried WD-40 to no avail.

Thanks
