9.5 burner ignitor won't spark or light at all. Can I get just an electrode to replace it? Is it easy to replace or does it require a professional?

9.5K (btu burner size) it is the front burner. Currently the gas supply is fine, the ignitor is tempermental and only works when it wants. Originally Posted by: Gene What is "9.5"?

Does it click and/or spark when you turn this burner "On"? Does it spark when you turn "On" any other burner?

It was not sparking or clicking when any burner was turned on. But at thte moment it is sparking and turning on since I gave it a heavy cleaning with windex. does that make any sense?

Yes, if the burner igniter is wet or greasy - it will never work properly. Also it's important to keep the burners clean as well.
