Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/3/2010(UTC) Posts: 5		My 10-year-old Viking range/oven 30", 4 burner, LP, gas oven/broiler intermittently won't light or won't cycle back on during baking. Both glow igniters come on, but no gas. If I bang on the gas valve, both burners light immediately. I assume I have a sticky valve (dual valve, LP gas). I don't know the model number. Any suggestions for a universal replacement?

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/3/2010(UTC) Posts: 5		No, the oven has two burners plus the broiler. The broiler works fine and appears to have a separate igniter and safety valve. The two main burners have individual igniters and share a dual valve safety valve. It is these two main burners that won't light after the igniters are glowing, until I tap on the dual valve and then both burners light immediately. Thanks.

Your igniters may be only supplying less than 3 amps. I would just order the igniters, rather rare these gas valves fail. Check the current to confirm.
