Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/2/2010(UTC) Posts: 2		F-28 code began appearing 3 days ago. The washer generally runs fine the next cycle after a quick reset. I followed the recommended procedure in the diagnostic guide, and it appears all harness connections are sound. There don't appear to be any worn or failed components. The machine was purchased in June 2007. After running the diagnostic test, the unit still displays the F-28 code. I believe we need to replace either the CCU or the MCU, but I'm unsure which. Please advise at your convenience. Thanks.

That message is the bane of front loading computer controlled machines, and the way it is fixed by a tech is replacing parts until they find the problem. Try testing the door lock switch, and if it is ok you are probably going to have to replace the MCU on speculation.

Conveniently, the last 3 loads I've washed have been error free; which leads me to believe the door lock is actually the culprit. Thanks again for the help!
