FREEZER TEMP GOES UP ABOVE 32 DEGREES LONG ENOUGH TO THAW FROZEN ITEMS. ICE MELTS AND RE-FREEZES IN ONE LUMP. HOW DO I GO ABOUT CHECKING THE DEFROSTER TIMER AND/OR THE THERMOSTAT? I HAVE WORKED ON A LOT OF DIFFERENT APPLIANCES BUT NOT REFRIGERATORS.

Most likely the cause of the problem is a stuck close defrost thermostat (#21 on the system break down diagram).

Remove the back panel in the freezer and check the defrost thermostat for continuity when there is no frost. Replace if it's closed.

- The part number for the defrost thermostat is AP2150024

Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire refrigerator Model FRT21INLHW0
