Just found this forum and I hope someone can point me to which part may need to be changed:
I have a Bosch DW that when started stays in wash cycle. This is the one where the controls are hidden on the top of the door, no timer switch to turn to start. Starts and fills fine, emptys soap container, but does not drain and advance to rinse. After ~30 minutes of washing I have to press the two buttons to get it to drain, then run the rinse and hold cycle to get dishes rinsed, but this won't go into dry cycle.
This is a brand new problem as for ~3 yrs worked perfectly. This only started Thursday night (was 'stuck' in wash mode for 4 hours, before I realized was still running!). Work around not really satisfactory, but beats hand-washing all the dishes for a family of 4 every night!
Any thoughts? Control panel? Water temp sensor?

I have the same problem. Have had any success in solving. I wonder if it is the heater as the water does not seem that hot.

I replaced the control module. There is a solder joint that overheats and breaks on the board. You can re-solder it or replace unit. I replaced the unit, took about 10 minutes to swap out.

I will take a look. Soldering would be a quick fix for sure. I also have no hot water - so I am still wondering if it is a heater problem. Was the solder joint obviously broken ??
Do you recall if you had hot water - mine is just luke warm to cool.

Thanks for the info. I was going to look at the module before I ordered a new one. Easier to replace the module than the heater unit. Took a few minutes to figure out those bloody snap clips when disassembling, however once apart and checking the circuit board there was obviously a relay with a post that was blackened (over heated) and had become disconnected from the board due to loss of the solder. A quick touch of silver solder and we are back in business.

I'm so glad I found this forum. My Bosch shx46... has the same problem. It is exactly 3 years old. I will verify soon if it is the control module. Where did you buy the replacement? Is it the same as the Circuit board that is under warranty for 5 years? Sounds like there is a defect in this thing if the relay that controls the water heater element burns out. something is getting too hot and who is to say the new one wont do the same thing.

I soldered and it lasted 2 or three cycles. I bought a new module - call bosch and they will direct you to a local parts supplier.

I called Bosch yesterday and asked to exchange my circuit board but they would only set up service call. My board is still under warranty. I soldered it yesterday since it had the same problem as yours. Has the new board lasted for you? Do you think they fixed the problem? I can either order a new one and install it myself, or I can can let the Bosch repair guy came and exchange it for me. I'll pay the same amount. Any suggestions?

I had same problem. Took out fill control valve, open up and clean out chambers. Reinstall. very simple. Just pay attention to how the little unit with spring goes in. works great.
