The control panel on my Maytag QuietSeries 200 is unresponsive, with the exeption of allowing you to select the cycle. The start button and delayed start buttons do not work.

I cleaned the control electric panel connectors AP4411619, which connects to the control panel AP4364553. It didn't work.

I suspect the control electric panel may have gone out. Suggestions?

A Model Number may help others help you.

The problem could be either of the devices you listed.
With a model number perhaps a tech sheet is available with the pin-outs for the control panel which will allow you to check the switches.

Then at least the odds of you replacing the correct part the first time are better.

Sorry, a model number would probably help. MDB4651AWB.

I have good news though, apparently I had forgotten about the 3 year extended warranty I had purchased. The beloved repairman is on his way.

The repair person ordered a control electric panel (circuit board) and the control panel (push button panel). He couldn't determine which part was broken, so he ordered both.

that's about $220 in parts... I may consider buying a new one. mine is 4 years old. it's just a shame that these things dont last longer. I've already replaced the latch a few months ago and now this!

Please post the outcome. thanks and Merry Christmas!

Here are the parts
Replacement parts for MAYTAG MDB9750AWS Dishwasher - Undercounter | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet
http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16026391.pdf

Try the following first
Connector Cleaning / Checking
Unplug the unit
Open it up
Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board.
Clean the edge connector.
If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive.
Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here.
Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates.
Reconnect everything and give it a try.

If this does nothing the normal way to troubleshoot it is to check out the keypad switches with a meter. If it checks out OK then the most likely culprit is the control board.

Hello, i have this same problem. I have a multi meter, but am a sort of novice on how to use it. Could you be more specific in the check procedure to what I am looking for in normal readings?
Thanks!
