It would be worth it to call GE about replacing it. All I know is that they have replaced some. The heater goes near the line that can reached from the dispenser. Instructions come with it. You can take the door off by removing the hinge hardware letting the magnetic gasket hold the door and disconnecting the water and wires at the bottom of the door.

I was told that my problem with water freezing in door tube could be repaired by installing part # ap4318572 which is called dispenser water tube heater, I was going to order this part but they told me that it doesnt come with instructions. Could you tell me how to instal this part before I order the part. refrigator model # is GSS20IEPCWW serial # is 256955 and it is a GE refrigator.
