kitchenaid oven burner won't light. New igniter and burner ordered. Old ignitor tip has carbon deposits. Can the carbon deposits be cleaned so that the oven will work while waiting for delivery of the new burner?

Have you performed any troubleshooting before you ordered the burner/igniter assembly?

Can you describe more specifically what happens after the Bake turned On?

What is the serial number of the range?

Gene.

Model: KitchenAid KGSA906PSS00
Serial # 0602455
Prior to no oven lighting of burner, it would take 1-3 minutes for the burner to light. Gas smell was present while awaiting it to light. After removal of igniter, Ohm check was 1-2 ohms. Thanks for your help

If it did spark but did not light the burner, hopefully the new burner assembly will fix it.

You can find some useful information in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...e-will-not-stay-lit.html

How long you should wait for the new burner? Appliance Parts Pros has it in stock and you can have it Wednesday if order it today or tomorrow before 4pm EST.
