What you probably need is a new set of drum support rollers. Don't forget to unplug the dryer first. While you're in there, check the belt for cracks, check the rear drum felt seal and check the front bearing. Rear seal and front bearing might be responsible for the thumping noise, but usually it's the rollers. Replace the belt if you see cracks in it. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to vacuum any lint you see inside the dryer. Replacement is pretty easy, step by step instructions are below. - Instructions - Drum rollers - Dryer belt - Rear felt seal - Front bearingLet us know how it goes.
