My Maytag dishwasher won't stop running. It acts like it is going to stop, then continues rinsing or washing. I am not sure. What is this and how can I fix it? Thanks! I have a kid with a pretty serious medical issue so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Could be the unit is waiting for the water to heat to the required temperature.
Try a Rinse Only cycle if that completes then the above is likely.

Check the heater itself should be about 15 ohms, it's thermostat should be 0 ohms and the thermistor should be around 10,000 ohms.

You should call Maytag at 1-800-344-1274 to check for recall or anything.
