Help - i have a GE washer that is overflowing
I see several parts on-line that "probably" will fix the problem
i.e. water level switch, water inlet valve, and of course the timer
that controls everything??? please advise

Open the control panel and make sure the pressure hose is properly connected to the water level switch (#10 on the diagram). Disconnect the pressure hose from the water level switch and blow some air into it to confirm the other end of the hose is connected to the tub and is clear.

If there is nothing wrong, replace the water level switch.

With great respect you are certain the water level switch will fix the problem, of course i will change the tubing just in case it is cracked / leaking
