My maytag frig has developed a buzzing and then a click sound. It cools and freezes fine. It seems to do it at the same time every day. Goes on for about half an hour. I thought that it seems like the defrost timer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Would that be pn AP4366538? I see that it shows the location as behind the temp controls. Since the noise comes from under the frig, would that relay control the t-stat under the frig?

No. You will have to pull the fridge out and try to isolate the noise. The heater and the defrost heater thermostat are down there but the are inside the freezer compartment. There is a start relay on your compressor but your compressors etc. seems to be running OK. Here are a couple good sites withe fridge info http://www.applianceaid.com/frig.html Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Fix a Refrigerator - ACME HOW TO.com |

Well I'm stumped
All I can think of is that perhaps the condenser coils are vibrating. Remove the kick plate ans see if you can gently push down on the coils to see if the noise stops.
Only other thing I can think of is the water valve is buzzing and resonates so thet it sound like it is coming from the front. |
