My Kenmore Ultra Wash (Mod #: 665.16034402) stopped dispensing rinse aid.

Here's what I have done so far:
* I found the service sheet and ran through the diagnostic cycles.
* If I'm interpreting the sheet correctly, the only time the DETERGENT / RINSE AID DISPENSER is activated is in cycle 12. The solenoid clearly is energized and the detergent door does open. (I'm assuming this solenoid is also used to dispense the rinse aid at point in some rinse cycle.)

Ideas anyone?

I have a Kenmore 16592 model 66516592201 with a detergent cup that won't open. Can you elaborate on the diag cycles you speak of, please?

Measure resistance across the detergent dispenser solenoid terminals. It suppose to be between 280 to 340 Ohms.

Replace the detergent dispenser assembly if the reading is wrong. It suppose to be replaced together with the rinse aid sensor.

Check wires to the solenoid.

If there is nothing wrong - replace the control board.

- The part number for the detergent dispenser assembly is AP3183112

- The part number for the rinse aid sensor is AP3176640

- The part number for the control board is AP3775964

I'll keep this info handy, however, I think the problem was a tray that shifted back when the basket was pushed in and it was just enough to block the door.
Dooh!

I would suggest checking the spring on the dispenser door, it appears that the door may open a crack but will not flip up to release the tablet from the dispenser and will not totally dissolve, if powder detergent it will usually be washed out of the cup.
