I have purchased a new dryer heating element and have been told by the sale technician that it should have some OHM reading greater than zero? Is this a correct statement?

I used an OHM reading meter to test the original heating element and the new heating element and I received the same reading on both. I am confused.

Any guidance and/or information provided would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Here is the tech sheet

Heater should be approximately 10 ohms.

You may be using too high an ohm scale.
Use the the most sensitive scale often 0 to 200 ohms.
