typical refridge warm, freezer ok deal. Got continuity on defrost thermostat thats mounted on the evap coil in freezer compartment when frozen. heater element has 23.2 ohms resistence. Only leaves defrost timer right? Its the control board type and not the mechanical one. Dont see a slot to manually put into defrost mode. Is there something I can do to put into defrost mode? I have allready defrosted the evap coil manually and it will be fine for a couple of weeks. So I know that compressor, and everything else seems to be fine. any suggestions or do I just need the defrost timer control board? I think that part number is ap3109394. It looks identical to mine. Just asking these questions cause I hate to spend $80 buck on something I dont need. By the way, I looked at my defrost timer and nothing seems burnt or out of place.

If the defrost heater and defrost thermostat both checked OK, then there is nothing left but the defrost control. You also can perform the troubleshooting as described in the Tech sheet before replacing any parts.

- The defrost control Part number: AP3109394

Okay, Done both option 1 and 2 on the tech sheet and still no defrost. So is that classic for a bad defrost control board?

Unfortunately nothing last forever, especially electronic parts.
