Put in the new thermostat today. Everything seems to be OK. Will see if it freezes now.. so under $100 in parts and we shall see what happens..or breaks next. ;) Wrote to GE re: the funny model number. Seems all you need (according to them) is the first few digits/letters: Try shortening the model number to "FUF14DA". This is the actual model number. The other letters just represent from which production it was made and the color. :confused:
