Water periodically streams into my refrigerator from above. The freezer is on top. What is wrong? How do I stop it. I've already turned the ice-maker off and it still happens.

This most likely is happening during a defrost cycle and it's because the evaporator pan drain is plugged with ice, debris, etc... Turn off the fridge and remove food items from the freezer... Locate screws on the inside rear cover of the freezer compartment and remove this cover exposing the evaporator coil and fan assy... Under the coil is the pan which catches condensate during the defrost cycle, this pan will have a drain tube... You may need to use a hair dryer if the pan is filled with ice... Use hot water and a turkey baster to melt ice inside the tube... Once water flows freely to the condensate pan underneath the fridge then it won't drip into your fridge during defrost...

This seems like my problem but not sure what frig explanation is for.
Mine is a Whirpool model no. ET1CHMXKQ02
What is correct procedure & parts to clear plug?

My refrigerator has collected water under bins in bottom. Kenmore Model 106.9732681. What to do?

I tried your suggsetions......the drain seems to be plugged....i can see water in the drain tube not clearing off. what are next steps I could try?

If you're sure ice is not the culprit then look underneath the fridge and locate the condensate pan... See if there's a ptrap in the drain tube above the pan and remove for cleaning... If water immediately streams into the pan then you've found your problem... Another method is to acquire a length of plastic tubing (3/8" or 1/2" outside diameter) and blow into the drain opening inside the freezer compartment to make sure the drain is open to the pan underneath... I've found some ptraps packed 'solid' with debris and only removal/cleaning would remedy drain problems... I didn't see a model number for your fridge so I can't view it online to see if yours has a trap or not... cheers kooler

Looking at the diagrams for your fridge doesn't easily display or identify a replacement drain line so I suggest a call into APPros or a shutdown/disassembly of the components to isolate the problem... If replacement is needed you may be able to substitute hose/tubing from your local hardware store... My experience with this issue has never involved replacement; it's always been debris in the drain or ice... I've even told folks to empty it and shut if off for a couple of days with the doors open... They told me later that fixed the problem... No more water in the bottom of the fridge and no service call to a repair dude.... Alas I'm not a rich man but still humble.... Cheers
