Gene.
Hi Gene, I've read this thread and searched a bit about the clicking sound from my fridge (GE Model GDS 20KBSAWW). It appears that the temps are fine with the fridge and freezer, but the dang noise is driving the wifey and me crazy. It comes on at random times and lasts for an hour or more sometimes. Should we just bite the bullet and replace the control board? Thanks, Joe

Joe, Pull the refrigerator out of the wall and locate the control board cover (#415 on the diagram). Touch that cover while it's making that noise to confirm it is coming from there. As soon as it's confirmed, replace the main control board. - The main control board Part number: AP4436216

Gene. I purchased the new circuit board and it came with an instruction/diagram that showed that I needed to cut some cables/jumpers on the wiring harness prior to installing the new board. But when I took the cover off and looked at the wiring harness on my fridge, the wires that needed cutting weren't there, so I was relieved. The installation of the new board was easy. About two weeks now and the fridge is working great and there's no annoying clicking anymore.:D Thanks again, Gene

Please help I am having the same problem but different model from everyone else. My refrigerator (model GSH25JFRFWW) started clicking from the control board and the condenser fan moves slightly when it does click. Should I just replace the control board? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like the main control board has gone bad. I would replace the condenser fan motor as well because it can damage the new control board if it's bad. - The main control board Part number: AP4436216
