I have a whirlpool washer Mdel LA5300XM. For the last few weeks cold water wash does not work as cols water just trickles in and it take an inordinate amount of time to wash. Warm water works just fine. I have also noticed that the rinse cycle in warm wash also takes a long time with water just trickling in.
Can you let me know how to fix this. Will replacing the water valve help.

Most likely replacing the water inlet valve should solve the problem. - The part number for the water inlet valve is AP2915360 Here are the break down diagrams for the whirlpool washer Model LA5300XMW0Gene.

check the cold water hose to see if there is a screen in it.check up at the tap, and at the other end at the washer valve, make sure the tap is shut off...lol Also check the screen in the valve itself get a small nail and remove the screen, clean and replace .
