I get a few inches of ice built up in the bottom of the freezer after a few weeks. My freezer is reading -10f and I have it set to 5f. I did the test on the termistor and it coded that it was working. I read that I had to replace the micro computer your part number AP3177964 and my freezer still jumping from -10 to 0 depending on when I check it. It has only been a few days and no ice build up yet but I am expecting it. What temperature should this freezer be?? Any suggestions on what may be wrong. I know the defrost cycle works fine. Thanks for any help.

I already bought a $215 dollar part that I just found out I can not return. Do you have any idea what is causing my freezer to be too cold and eventually ice building up????????? thanks

ice collects in the bottom of my freezer in drip pan. Water leaks out the front if I don't clear the ice. Any idea of the problem? Thanks

I do not know what type you have but my problem was fixed with a new themoster for the freezer. It only costs like $5 or so. I would check the temperature in your freezer. My freezer was getting like -20f or so and that is what led up to the ice build up. Since I have replaced this part my freezer has been at 10f and no more ice. It works perfect.

I have a Kenmore elite model 795.7105 I'm getting water on the floor and found ice build up on the bottom of the freezer. I cleaned the ice out but in 4-5 days it has happened again
