My freezer does not completely defrost. Every 10 days, we unload the freezer, unplug it, defrost it, and then start all over.
I have replaced the fan because I thought that the fan had started to run slow but this proved to have been the wrong part to have replaced! (The fan runs fine.)
Will replacing the Mother Control Board, AP42972727 fix this?

I have verified that the trap door from the freezer to the refrigerator opens.

Thank you.

Thank you for your advice. I appreciate the service that you offer.

My GE GSS22kgpacc requires a manual defrost every 10 days.
Given the price of the defrost timer, I am willing to take the chance that this is the likely part.
Which part number fits the bill and where will I find it on my refrigerator?!
Sincerely,
Marcus

Gene:
I apologize for not being able to navigate around well. !
Since mine does not have a defrost timer, then I assume that I need a new Mother/Control Board?!
Marcus

P.S.
This is a great service. Thank you.

You are welcome Marcus. Do not rush with the control board. Have you tested the defrost heater and defrost thermostat for continuity?

Gene.
