Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/26/2009(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a Kitchen aid Refridgerator and I'm having a problem with the temp. Both the freezer and the fridge are warming up.Now I'm pretty sure it's either the evap fan, defrost heater or the defrost timer but what I'm not sure about is how to test each one without replacing them all to find the problem...Any suggestions???

You only have a defrost problem if the evaporator coils are heavily iced/frosted up. Remove the coil cover and check them If they are heavily coated force a defrost cycle. See the tech sheet. If the heater heats up then replace the Electronic Defrost Control board. Be careful, do not burn your fingers. If it does not heat up it is probably the defrost heater itself or the defrost thermostat. Note may also still be the defrost timer board.
