Washer will not complete a cycle without stopping with the F06 code showing. Also ocassionally the machine will stop and the time remaining numbers will flash. Have checked the motor, ohm readings OK, rotated the basket, no binding, reseated connectors on the MCU, and run the overview test program, test completed succesfully every time. Anything else I can check? Bad MCU? If so can you check the MCU?

If you have checked all of your wiring for breaks then the likely cuprit is the MCU but the only way to be certain is to replace it.

You can test it, here is the service manual which will show you how.

https://secured.whirlpoo...ILE/Duet%20Job%20Aid.pdf

but those test may or may not be definitive.

Good luck.

After checking all connections per the service manual, all OK, the machine now stops with the estimated time remaining flashing. I've run the various cyles with no load and the last time it stopped with 1 minute remaining. I can't find anything to tell me what that means. Any idea or should I use some C-4 on this thing?
P.S. Thanks for the help.

I think C 4 should be used on these machines, but dynamite and a ball peen hammer also work.

I am sorry but I cannot add anything to what I said before.

Let us know what you do and how it turns out.

Good luck.

Unfourtenately if you have verified everything according to the service manual, you will have to replace MCU in order to fix this problem, i just fixed one with the same problem, unless you find the way to fix this board, if not will be arround $$$150.00

I have run various cycles and have found that if I lighten or spread out the load and then start a drain/spin cycle the machine will work. Still think it's an MCU or a weak motor. Again the test program works fine with the basket spinning at full speed.
Thanks for the help

If motor reads 6 Omhs betwen lines it is OK, another test you can do with motor is to read motor amps during moving, if read is lower than 1.75 (normally arround 1 Amp), motor is OK. To me it looks like MCU needs to be replace

I had a similar situation with my washer. I was receiving an F11 code. Based on the diagnostic check by the certified repair man he said I needed to replace the MCU.

He checked the motor. All Ohm readings were fine (6 or 6.5 I don't recall).

When we ran the diagnostic check it would not even pass the initial stage. It would throw the F11 error. After some deliberation he said that I needed to replace the MCU. Then he told me it would be $450. After I escorted him out of my house I ordered the part at the local store for $170.

I replaced it and ran a normal wash cycle. All was well and I assumed I fixed the problem until the last minute of the cycle. It then threw an F6 error. Checking the codes that indicates a problem with the MCU. So I checked all connections to the MCU and then the motor and then the CCU. All looked fine to me.

Just to ensure it was not a bad MCU I put the old one back in and it immediately gave me the F11 again and the washer would not function at all. I then replaced it with the new one and now I'm having the exact same symptoms as you. Time remaining starts flashing and eventually a F6 appears. I did notice that my drum will "jerk" at the beginning of the cycle but will not spin. It spins freely manually.

I ran the diagnostic test and during the step when it is supposed to check the drum spinning nothing happens. It just skips right along to the next step.

Anyone have any ideas on this one? I'm not very interested in buying another MCU.
