Kemore Elite 25 Cf Side by Side :

The ice maker water line on the fridge side of the inlet valve "sprung" loose and a flooded house was the result. After clean-up i found that the plastic line seemed to be "pulled" (or pushed) out of the compression fitting.
I re-inserted it and tightened the fitting well.

My questions :
1) Is this a common problem ? or a fluke ? Could it wiggle itself out
over time with the on/off vibration/jolt of the valve ?

2) Is this likely to happen again ? Is there a better way to make sure
the house doesn't flood again.

Thanks, jeff

it could happen again, perhaps you should purchase a new valve. and cut the plastic tube back a bit

Thanks for the quick reply...

How will a new valve help ?

Do you suggest cutting the tube to make a "fresh" piece ?
