One of the Door Cables broke and now the door just flops down. I have removed the lower panel and looked inside. One of the Springs (part# 44) was still hooked onto the broken, flat end of the Cable (Part #8) but neither Spring was attached to anything else. I presume that when the Cable broke it released the Springs and the other Cable off the side of the door.
My question is this: If I order a new set of cables does one end of each new Cable attach to both Springs and then does it (loop) around the white plastic roller before attaching to the lower end of the door? Or does it just (go around) the white plastic roller? Then repeat the same connection for the other end of the Springs?
Or are the Springs attached independently of eachother to the Frame somewhere? Should I also replace both Springs as well at this time .

Well yes, sort of, but I figured it out anyway on my own and replaced the old cables. It took a bit of strength, but was able to get the new ones onto the springs and re-attached. The springs I did not replace because this site said I didn't have to and they were not available to purchase anyway. In retrospect, I wish I could have replaced the springs as well because allthough the door works somewhat better, it's still not lowering down as it should. I believe new springs would solve this. I was in Home Depot the other day and saw what I thought were springs very similar to the ones inside this machine. If I had seen these before I would have at leaste tried them. Good luck!
