i have been looking through the previous posts and right now i'm at the
stage where i have the motor sat on the floor only connected to the power
ok it will spin anti clockwise (washing) but then it will not go clockwise it

With the motor connected, and the lid switch by passed put the timer on the spin section and see if the motor spins clockwise.

If it does not, check to see if current is coming to the motor. If it is, or if the motor is hung up it will need to be replaced.

just wondering if you could point me in the right direction please
looking at the connector at the motor i have these colour wires
Red , orange , gray , green/yellow , yellow , blue , blue/white
ok could you tell me which two wires i should check for anticlockwise motion
(as that works) and then which two i should check for forward motion.

thank you..

I don't have the wiring diagrams for the connection to these motor, but if it is not turning and you are getting the burning smell it seems likely the motor is your problem.

If you post the complete model number someone else may be able to help.
