The part number for the Central Control Unit AP3881119 and you can buy it from APP for $144.56 (compare at $199.49 from Sears). Gene.

Hello - I am faced with this problem after installing the new control board (#8182221). Procedure so far: powered down machine, changed board, on power up I pressed cancel twice as instructed. The machine locked the door, flashed several lights and ended up with 3 dashes on the display. It would not respond to any further buttion pushing. I powered down the machine and manually unlocked the door. Repowered and it is now totally unresponsive. Any insight on what to do next ? Remember new control board.! Help.... Edited to add - Reinstalled old control board. Machine is now running and we are expecting more F11 and dL codes solved by wire wiggling. I'm guessing the new control board was defective.

We had power outage for over 2 hours during a wash cycle for our Kenmore HE4t (model: 110.45986404) and now it will not power up. Dryer works fine and it's plugged into the same wall outlet. We unplug the washing machine and replugged. Still nothing. We had to manually opened to door to get our clothes out of the washer so they don't sit in the machine all wet. How do we drain the water inside the washer?
Any ideas on how to fix the power issue? I read the tech sheet posted above and we can hear power clicking to CCU.
Do we need to order a new CCU?
thank you!!!

Proceed with the steps 3 through 7 of "Possible cause/test", listed in the Tech sheet (page 14) for "Won't power up" problem and post the results. Gene.

Gene,
We followed Steps 3-7, opened up the top, check all the connections. When we plug the power back, we can hear the clicking and very faint high pitch noise that rings for few seconds. No power to the LED/touch pad still.
We think maybe it's the control behind LED/touchpad is bad.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thank you!
