Our dryer won't turn on when any button is pressed, all leds stay dark. at first I thought it was the door switch because I slammed the door shut then hit a button and the display lit up. so I cancled the cycle and tryed it again and nothing lit up. I checked the door switch with a meter it, tested ok , two position switch continuity ok in and out. also tryed to check thermistors and switches in lower portion of dryer they look ok. Over a period of a couple days I would plug it in and try it sometimes it would start sometimes not. when it did start the end of cycle alarm would sound and the led for end of cycle would change from high to low to off over and over. This morning I tryed it and nothing will turn on. I am thinking its the control board that the panel plugs into but for $ 160.00 dollars and non returnable if it doesn't fix the problem I'm a little hesitant to order.
Can you help, thanks, Ken

Quote:...at first I thought it was the door switch because I slammed the door shut then hit a button and the display lit up... It can be a sign of a loose connection somewhere. I would start the troubleshooting from this point. Look for the tech sheet inside the control panel and run the tests recommended by the manufacturer. What is the complete model number of the dryer? Gene.

Hi Gene. I've reseated everything I could find on the control board and in lowerunit of dryer. The only numbers I could find are 050946957081 or D26 M85088 , do those numbers look right? I didn't see a tec sheet any where in the dryer.

Check the door frame for the name plate.
Gene.
