I have a Kenmore HE 2 PLUS that has not really given us any problems until the other day and it may be my own fault:( I had to stop it with 1 min remaining because I needed to grab an article of clothing out of it. It wouldn't unlock so we manually unlocked it. Since then it won't run at all. I tried to run the second rinse cycle to see if it needed to complete the cycle but it starts to run the cycle but then the spin light starts flashing and nothing else happens, we end up having to manually unlock the door again. The weirdest part is that the clothes that are in it are dry, not even damp so why is it making all the drain noise? We suspect it may be the ccu but we are not sure. Any suggestions? By the way, it does not register an error code on the panel

Take off the bottom panel and see if there is a tech sheet in there which will show you how to put the machine in trouble shooting mode. If so, go through the process and let us know what you find out.
It is likely the door lock assembly has failed, but the CCU may also have failed. These are expensive parts and if you cannot determine with any certainty which one is the problem, or even if either is the problem you may want to have a service tech visit, or use the money on a new washer.
