You either have a bad motor or bad mode shifter or you may have rogue error light.

First put everything back together. If you are getting the flashing lights, make sure the washer is off and disconnect all power for at least a minute. Then plug it in and raise and lower the lid five or six times quickly. Then see if the error code has cleared out and if the machine works.

If it does not, take off the belt and see if the big pulley on the transmission like thing will move. If it will the motor is bad, if it does not move, the mode shifter (which replaces a transmission in this machine) is bad.

Good luck.

Thanks sid,

I'll try it tomarrow morning. Then I'll post my findings. If nothing else, I plan to see the appliance repair shop tomarrow and see how much a replacement motor will cost.

The big pulley moved freely before I took the motor off the unit.
I though maybe this was the problem.
Now, I'm thinking otherwise.
Will see.
