I turned off the icemaker and the noise stopped. I turned it back on, but it makes very little ice, although the water dispenser is working fine. This a ge side-by side model. Any thoughts?

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/28/2009(UTC) Posts: 1,648		You are probably going to have to replace the icemaker. Jump the icemaker by pulling on the arm that rakes the ice out. The icemaker should start a cycle. If it will not start or gets stuck before completes a cycle replace the icemaker. Even if it works you will probably have to replace it because it is an intermitting problem. You just need to know if you need a water valve or not. Make sure the ice molds are filling with water.
