The dishwasher controls stopped working. It displays a blinking light next to the "Normal" button on the control panel. The front panel displays two dashes. I checked all connections on the control panel and door switch plus killed the power in an attempt to reset. Nothing worked. I bought a new electronic control and now I get just the blinking light next to the Normal button on the contro panel. It just seems to be locked up. What should I check or replace? I'm thinking about replacing the consule, but hate to just replace parts until I finallly find it.

I have not changed the consule because the cost is nearly $200. I'm trying the fuse kit first, it's only $12. If this doesn't work I have to consider buying a new dishwasher versus putting $400 of trial and error into this 5 year old dishwasher. This is not what I expected when buying a KitchenAid...
