My Whirlpool washer tends to skip the spin cycle or run water during the spin cycle. I was thinking of changeing the timer... Does any one have any suggestions??

Can you give us a more detailed description. When you say it skips the spin cycle does the timer continue to run, or does the entire process stop? Does this happen after the agitate and rinse cycles or just one?

If you can gives us all the pertinent info (don't worry about giving too info) we may be able to confirm the timer or suggest another area.

Thanks

It seems like the timer continues to run. I ran it thru the spin cycle only, one time water continued to run thru the spin cycle, another it did not spin at all. I took of the top and tapped on the timer and know it seems to be working. This is in the regular wash cycle I have not tryed any of the other cycles. Thanx for your help..

Ok, let us know what it does in other cycles.

Sounds like a timer issue but let's try to eliminate other things before you invest in a new timer.
