I changed both light bulbs, and it still did not light up when pressing the surface light button on the controller pad. What part should I buy to fix this problem? I appreciate your help very much and thanks for your time.

I can still hear the bip sound when hitting the surface light button. So, do you still think it's a touchpad problem?. Thanks.

No. This may sound dumb, but it is a very common thing...are you sure you didn't put the old bulb back in by mistake? If this is the problem, please don't embarrass yourself by admitting it; but it's a necessary question in a long distance attempt to diagnose. Does the light come on when you open the door? Did it before? Do you have a way of testing the outlet the M'wave is plugged into?

- Light bulb is not an issue here.
- The light won't come on when I open the door.
- Microwave is still functioning ok , and so the light inside.
