Shut dryer door, turned on, hit START button and it clicks once and goes to "SENSING" light but does not rotate or start? Nothing? All the lights are on, but no action???

Gene,
I was impressed with your response and have printed out the Duet Dryer diagnostic manual. I will run through the checklist and see if it results in anything. We have had the dryer and have used it for 5 years lightly.
One thought - there are pipes above that occassionally drip condensation onto the top of the machine. I am wondering if moisture could seep into the joint between the face unit and the housing and affect it from turning on. Just as a precaution I am going to seal this with some tape and put a towel on top.
I am hoping something happens here, as my husband is out of work and the tech that stopped by quoted us $500. for a new motherboard of sorts.
