Hi! First, thanks for this website! Lots of great, helpful information for us do it yourselfers.:D

From what I've read, I have a lid switch issue, upon closer inspection, I thought it was my lid switch check...the switch inside that wasn't reacting when the lid switch was engaged. I replaced that, and now, I keep blowing fuses. Does the entire assmembly need to be replaced? or, do I have another problem?

Thanks in advance,
Monica

Monica,

There are two switches in the lid switch assembly

and it is very important to adjust them properly. You can find the complete instructions in the Service manual (page 3-15).

Thanks Gene. It was the lid check switch that I replaced, or, in girlspeak, the white piece. (haha)

Do you think I didn't do it right and that's what causing the fuse to blow?

Thanks again,
Monica

You probably did not adjust it properly. Follow the instructions from the Service manual and you should be fine.

Gene.
