Have washer that trips motor overload. Just replaced belt and pump (I had to cut it off, and bent motor pulley out alittle). I assembled the unit and ran it through a cycle and noticed a little smoke, as well as alittle belt dust on the pump (possibly from the belt jumping around on the motor pulley). I stopped the unit, then ran it with no problems other than it sounding as though the belt is too tight, like it's binding. The take up spring looks as though it's maxed out. When I ran a load in it, it tripped out on motor overload in the spin cycle I believe. I restarted it after a while and it did it again. Finally I finished the load and unplugged it. Could it be due to a bad pulley or the wrong size belt sent? Also I couldn't find an Amana or Maytag parts manual to check the belt.:(
