You can defrost it with a hairdryer to get by till you fix it.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control

My ref. keeps freezing up and won`t get cold.I have to keep taking hairdryer and unfreezing it so it will work I can`t find the defost timer to check it My model is FRS23W3AWA and this is the model its right inside the door and says model number the serial number isLA34619140.I don`t know what to do to find the switch for I don`t know what it looks like.
