My GE WCSR2090D5WW wont fill with water and wont turn on the spin cycle. Could this be something with the timer switch or am I way off and its something else?
Thank you.

It could be the timer but I think it sounds like the water level control. GE Washer won't spin Repair Guide

Thank you for the help. Went and bought a multi meter and started going thru different things. Pulled the hose off the water level controller and blew thru it, put it back on and everything worked. Atleast for now.

Often that hose will stop up near the end that connects to the tub so if it stops working again check that.

hello applianceman, could you tell my how i can tell if the timer is bad on a GE washer, everything works except the spin cycle it does drain, i removed the belt and set it to spin cycle and motor doesn't turn, also the timer always makes a ticking sound even when not in use

It the timer brown if so they gave a lot of noise problems but it is uncommon for it to cause the washer not to spin.

Are you sure it will agitate?

On of the more common problems on your model is that the little white tab on the lid switch would fall but if this were the case it wouldn’t agitate either.
